National Performance Team
Since the inception of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Incorporated, stepping has been a part of our herstory. In the year 2001, Lambda Tau Omega Sorority Inc.’s National Step Team was founded by five dedicated, independent, multicultural sorors from different chapters.
Our current National Performance Team, better known as “Tidal Wave,” was restructured in Spring 2017. Previously, the team was known as the National Stroll Team established in 2001 and the National Step and Stroll Team was reestablished in 2011.
Our National Performance Team performs at various events on behalf of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Incorporated. These events include but are not limited to, step and stroll competitions, yard shows, and events targeted at expansion and recruitment endeavors.
Tidal Wave exhibits drive, passion, and natural talent, these womyn continue to create, develop, and honor the many routines that have always made Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. truly unique.
Tidal Wave has participated in many competitions:
- Bloomfield College – Novalescent Alpha Alpha, Break the Stage
- State University of New York at New Paltz – Vydurance Omicron, Seven Execution
- Rowan University – Nyris Psi, Triple S show
- NJIT – Trilogy Gamma, Triple S show
- University of Delaware, Blueprint
