“I am deeply honored to receive Lambda Tau Omega’s Scholarship Award, which will help cover my graduate tuition as I pursue a Master’s in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to better support the autistic community. My focus is on helping high-support needs children with Autism develop socially significant skills for easier community integration through evidence-based ABA strategies. This scholarship allows me to fully dedicate myself to becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, where I plan to provide tailored treatment plans and mentor others in the field.”

“Being a first-generation college student, any opportunity I got to apply for scholarships I took it. When I saw Lambda Tau Omega, Sorority Inc. (LTO), had a scholarship that sisters can apply for, I jumped right onto that opportunity. I won the scholarship twice which helped me with my graduate studies. This reflected on how LTO not only helps sisters as undergraduates but also as graduate students. The first time I won, it helped me pay for a summer course which was not covered by any funding from the school so it helped me tremendously.
My second time around, I had just graduated with my second graduate degree but LTO helped me pay my student loans with the scholarship funds. NGB worked with me in order to make sure that the funding was used to help pay my student loans in a way that worked for me. I was very happy I won because it gave me financial security to pay tuition and to pay my student loans even if it was just for a couple of months but it worked for me. Having the opportunity to apply for scholarships within my organization and winning, has helped me and I am very happy I got the opportunity to do so!”

“I want to thank LTO for the scholarship that I received during the summer of 2021. This scholarship helped cover costs for a summer class that I was taking at the time. I was able to focus on school work and not have to worry about having outstanding educational costs. In 2022, I graduated with my bachelor’s degree. I am proud to say I worked hard to be where I am, but I certainly could not have done it without help along the way. I am grateful for LTO’s generosity.”
